Bribie Island Police receive new ATV

December 3, 2014

Bribie Island Police have recently taken possession of a John Deere RSX 850i Trail All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) to add to the off road capabilities of the local Police.  The vehicle was donated to the Bribie Island Police by the local charity ‘Busy Fingers’, and the vehicle will complement the stations Toyota Landcruiser 4W4.

The ATV comes complete with Red and Blue flashing lights, and will assist the local Police in all facets of policing on the beach and in the parks areas, from traffic enforcement, patrols with Queensland Parks and Wildlife officers, Search and Rescue Operations.  Sergeant Chris BIRD, the officer responsible for facilitating the purchase of the ATV is happy with the acquisition: “the ATV will greatly assist the local Police in providing an increased level of service to the community”.

Expect to see the ATV out and about on Bribie Island’s inland tracks and beaches during our busy Christmas and New Year’s holiday period.
