Bribie Island school children mark Anzac Day with striking poppy display

April 24, 2015

Children at a Bribie Island school have marked Anzac Day with a striking public poppy display.

Banksia Beach State School students, on Queensland’s Bribie Island, have crafted 1,085 poppies, which were then planted at the foot of a Lone Pine tree which originated in Gallipoli.

Each of the poppies are featured in the display located along Sunderland Drive, Banksia Beach.
