Bribie Island Police attended 19 domestic violence incidents last week, of which eight related to contraventions of domestic violence protection orders. Five applications for protection orders were made by police, and counselling support services were provided for the other incidents.
Bribie Island Police Division has been involved with the Stop DV initiative for many years, which is a collaborative effort with the Bribie Island Neighbourhood Centre and Caboolture Womens Domestic Violence Service. The initiative aims to provide support to people early, and potentially prior to an escalation involving violence. Police call the police station for more information.

This week police from Bribie Island conducted bicycle patrols on Monday, together with patrols of Main Beach over the weekend. There were 158 drivers breath tested this week, and 31 traffic infringement notices were issued. Those were mainly for speeding, however several learner drivers were also fined for being unaccompanied.

- A 32-year-old Banksia Beach man was charged with breaching a domestic violence order at Banksia Beach.
- A 43-year-old Goodna man was charged with contravening a police requirement at Bellara.
Monday 23 November
- A 20-year-old Bellara man was charged with breaching a domestic violence protection order at Bellara.
Tuesday 24 November
- A 20-year-old Bellara man was charged with unlicensed driving at Bellara, and the vehicles number plates seized for 90 days.
- A 78-year-old Sandstone Point man was charged with public nuisance at Main Beach Woorim.
- A 26-year-old Bellara man was arrested on a warrant at Bellara.
Wednesday 25 November
- A 32-year-old Ningi man was arrested on a warrant at Ningi.
- A 35-year-old Banksia Beach man was charged with contravening a domestic violence protection order at Banksia Beach.
- A 33-year-old Caboolture man was charged with breaching his bail conditions at Banksia Beach.
Thursday 26 November
- A 51-year-old Banksia Beach man was charged with contravening a domestic violence protection order at Banksia Beach.
Saturday 28 November
- A 18-year-old Morayfield man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs at the Sandstone Point Hotel.
- A 36-year-old Caboolture man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs at the Sandstone Point Hotel.
- A 32-year-old Caboolture man was charged with possessing drug utensils at the Sandstone Point Hotel.
Sunday 29 November
- A 20-year-old Caboolture man was charged with public urination at the Sandstone Point Hotel.
