The speed limit on the Bribie Island Ocean Beach between the Woorim Beach access point at First Lagoon (Freshwater Creek) to 300 metres north of Second Lagoon (Norfolk Creek) has been permanently reduced to 30km/hr in the interest of public safety.
The area subject to the reduced speed limit experiences a high volume of vehicle and pedestrian activity.
Please drive with caution throughout the Bribie Island Recreation Area and heed all regulatory signage. This speed reduction is effective from Friday 27th March 2015.
