For one day only, Queensland Zoo will visit Bribie Island to take part in the first ever ZOO RUN on Bribie.
Saturday 30 May 2015 will see runners and walkers of all ages and all fitness levels take over the foreshore to help raise funds for Free the Bear Fund and Wildlife Emergency, a not-for-profit local charity helping wildlife.

The runners/walkers will get a fantastic day out with more wildlife than they would normally see at a Zoo with a FREE ticket to enter the Bribie Gone Wild Wildlife Festival as part of their registration costs to run in the 5km, 2km or 1km novelty run.
Tegan Lather, the young 15 year old Bribie Island local girl, is determined to raise $100K for conservation. She is hoping that the next ZOO RUN will make this dream come true. Currently sitting at $95,500, Tegan has helped many different organisations such as Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, Twinnes Pelican and Seabird Rescue; Queensland Koala Crusaders are just some of the charities that have been supported by Tegan and her fun educational events.
Tegan has organised a lot of different wildlife to be roving and shown down the waterfront as well at the Bribie Gone Wild Wildlife Festival for the participants of the ZOO RUN.
Runners will receive amazing freebies, such as T-shirts, goodie bags, water bottles, competitions to win holidays; appliances, gift cards, jewellery even a Ray White Bike. All the runners in the 5km run will be in the running to WIN cash prizes donated by major sponsor St George Bank.
All children will receive a competitor ribbon on the day as well as run in age groups for both boys and girls.
Prizes for best dressed team/family and individual runners will be awarded on the day. A limited number of Super Early Bird tickets are selling for the ZOO RUN now saving up to $20 per person. If you wish to register a group or family of 4 or more people you will save a further $5 per person.
100% of the profits will be donated to conservation.

You can contact Kathy Lather on 0407 033 315 or email Tegan Lather on info@wildlifeemergency.com.au for any questions about the day.
Schools and groups are encouraged to join in the fun and help raise funds for their own groups. For every 15 students/children that sign up to raise funds a FREE ticket will be issued to the teacher/coach. Please ask Kathy how this is done.
